European business exchange programme – Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (erasmus-entrepreneurs.eu) is a programme financed by the European Commission that helps provide aspiring European entrepreneurs with the skills necessary to start and/or successfully run a small business in Europe. It contributes to improving their know-how and fosters cross-border transfers of knowledge and experience between new and experienced entrepreneurs, by encouraging business exchanges that take place at the company of the experienced host entrepreneur.
The stay abroad may vary between 1 and 6 months in total. The time may be divided into a number of shorter time slots (minimum one week per slot), which the new entrepreneur will spend abroad with the host entrepreneur. During the stay abroad, the new entrepreneur will receive financial support from the programme, which contributes to travel and subsistence costs during the visit. The entrepreneurs that will travel to North Macedonia for their exchange will receive a monthly financial support of 560 €.
To participate in the programme as a new entrepreneur, the individual needs to plan to start a business, based on a viable business plan OR have less than 3 years of total entrepreneurial experience. The (future) company or activity can be in any sector and there is no age limit (but all participants must be over 18 years old). The required documents for the application are:
The application and registration process is carried out online. As part of the registration, the entrepreneur has to choose one of the Intermediary Organisations active in their country of residence as a local contact point.
