Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: Workshop Highlights Funding Opportunities in Skopje

The workshop titled “Project and Grant Funding Opportunities” took place on February 22, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Educational M6 Dimce Belevski 2, Skopje, North Macedonia. This event was jointly organized by Prishtina REA, the Association of Business Women, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), with venues in both Skopje and Prishtina. The workshop attracted 55 women entrepreneurs from a variety of sectors, demonstrating a strong interest in exploring, engaging with, and networking around funding opportunities. The participants hailed from a diverse array of industries, including technology, construction, healthcare, education, consulting, apparel, digital media, finance, and more.

The workshop’s main goal was to bring together and support women-led businesses in Macedonia, encouraging them to collectively explore various project and funding opportunities. These opportunities included EU Horizon, Erasmus+, the Single Market Program, the Digital Program, Creative Europe, the European Innovation Council (EIC), and others. They covered a wide range of themes such as research, capacity building, product or service development and expansion, digitalization, innovation for both private and public sectors, synergies between ICT and non-ICT businesses, and public institutions, along with information on programs, calls for proposals, eligibility criteria, and partnership opportunities. The sectors mentioned ranged from ICT and digital research to industry, academia, and NGOs.

The event provided valuable insights and practical skills for navigating the complex field of project funding. Participants learned how to better position their organizations to secure necessary resources and further their mission-driven projects.

We express our heartfelt thanks to all the participants for their active engagement and significant contributions, which greatly contributed to the workshop’s success.
