BiH is at an early stage of alignment with the relevant EU acquis on market surveillance of non-food products. Market surveillance in BiH is currently based on three pieces of legislation:
1. Market Surveillance Act
2. General Product Safety Act
3. Technical Requirements for Products and Conformity Assessment Act
Under the framework of the multi-year programme titled “Knowledge for Reform Action in the Western Balkans,” UNOPS is providing support in the Western Balkans Six (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo , Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia) with access to tailored expertise, knowledge and best practice to assist them with advancing their respective reform agendas.
Our expertise will be offered towards:
Preparing the proposal of the Market Surveillance Act in BiH in line with EU acquis
Undertake the consultations with the beneficiaries
Prepare a concordance table with the perspective EU acquis
